Intro
0:13Let’s have a good laugh. All right, Tyler, let’s do it. Um, but
0:20before we do, um, we want to mention Rising Sun. I’m sure people are tired of
0:25hearing about it from us. Um, but one thing about Rising Sun that uh I I think
Biggest problems
0:32people don’t understand is is we have a good laugh at Rising Sun. We have a good time, don’t we?
0:38And we have there’s a little bit of everything there. There’s some a good laugh. Sometimes there’s a good cry. There’s a lot of energy spent. It’s a
0:45it’s just it’s awesome. Yeah. Um but it is fun. It’s a blast.
0:50It’s fun and hard and all the things. Oh, I laughed so hard last year at the last rising sun on one of our
0:57activities. Like the hardest I’ve laughed in like years. Yeah, I think I I think I know which
1:02one. I think I ended up in like full full scale like hiking boots and my underwear or something. I can’t
1:08remember. I don’t I don’t think that’s what it was. But but I think you did end up that way.
Codependency
1:16Somehow someway I I found myself standing in the middle of the mountains like in my underwear.
1:23I don’t know. I don’t I’m not Yeah. Yeah. Anyway,
1:29um but just a quick disclaimer on this episode. So, Tyler and I talk about
1:35really serious things all the time and uh you know, we you know, different topics
1:41we get into just really heavy and hard and so we thought we would just spend an
1:47episode sharing some stories and having a good laugh. So, we just want to let
1:52you know if you’re looking for something really serious and heavy and this is not your episode. Yeah, we uh we we just this is in a
1:59certain sense this episode is like a form of self-care for us. Both Brandon and I were just sitting there going
2:04like, man, like we’re feeling kind of burned out and heavy. And then we started telling a few of our childhood stories and we thought, well, anyone who
2:12wants to listen in on some of the childhood stories and get to know us a little bit that way and maybe laugh, maybe not. You might just think we’re
2:18crazy by the end of it, like you can. But that’s what this episode’s going to be is we’re just gonna just tell a few
2:23stories and I’m a little nervous. I’m a little nervous about what stories you’re going to bring up.
2:29We’re going to remember some of the old some of the old times. Tyler doesn’t know what stories I’m bringing up.
2:34I don’t know which ones he’s got for me. So, I’m a little bit nervous here. And you’ll probably think we come from a
2:40pretty crazy family by the end of this episode. Probably. I don’t I don’t know if this
2:47is a good idea or not, but we’re gonna we’re gonna do it anyway. We’re gonna do it. So, do you want to go first on
2:52I don’t you kick it off, Brandon. You can start, man. It’s like this is like this is kind of like power slap, right? Where the guy
2:58who goes first kind of gets the advantage, I guess. So, I’ll I’ll do the one that that’s not so much about you to start.
3:06Okay, good. Um but there is a part of it that is about you that I think is good. So, do
3:11you remember our famous um our famous Mother’s Day dinner?
3:18Oh my gosh. I Yeah.
3:26Okay. Do you Do you remember Gramps?
3:32How can I forget? Oh my gosh. Talk about trauma. That was that’s on my trauma tree. Like
3:37those people who are doing like the reclaim your heart stuff. You’ll know what I’m talking about when we say trauma tree. That that made my trauma
3:43tree. So, so let me explain a little bit. So, we weren’t we didn’t come from the
3:48wealthiest family. Um, and my dad my dad was very uh he was resourceful.
3:55Resourceful. Yes. And so, he’s at work, you know, he’s out at the airport working and he’s talking to a guy and
4:02this guy’s like, “Yeah, well, you know, I got a bunch of like bunny rabbits at my house that I need to get rid of.
4:10And so he goes and he gets probably what, six of them. There was six of them. I think there were six of them.
4:15And so he grabs his three boys, me, Tyler, and Rex, our brother. How old were we? We I was probably like
4:23maybe was I probably like 12, maybe? Yeah, I’d say. Yeah, 13. 13. I was probably 12.
4:29Yeah. And uh he takes us to our grandma’s house and he says like, “Boys, we’re
4:34having rabbit stew for Mother’s Day dinner.” He’s like, “We’re making your mom a really nice Mother’s Day dinner.”
4:39Which, by the way, is not not anything that our mom would want for us. No, never. Like, never.
4:46We’ve never had rabbit stew. And he takes us to grandma’s backyard and he’s he opens the garage and there’s
4:51these six rabbits there and we start playing with them like they were like the cutest
4:57cute rabbits.
5:02Oh man. And then he then he pulls it out. He’s like, “Here’s how it’s done, guys.” And he takes he takes a hammer
5:10and he clubs one over the head with the hammer, knocks it out. Then he hangs it up like in like the tree back. Remember
5:17grandma’s pear tree. And then he like bleeds it out, skins it like cleans it
5:23all up. He’s like, “All right, that’s how it’s done, guys.” Um he’s like, “There’s five more now.” He’s like, “You get you three have the rest of them.”
5:30And then he leaves. And then he leaves and he hands us a hammer and he leaves.
5:37What? And so we’re all looking at these bunnies like, “What?” We’re holding this hammer and Tyler just starts crying.
5:45Just I just start crying. I can’t do it. Well, I did I did one. You did one and
5:52Rex did one. Rex finished him off. And then I think you did one. And then the very last one, his name was uh we named
5:58him Gramps because he was just this beautiful like really wrinkly beautiful like old This story is going from like funny to
6:06funny to not funny like Well, and so I’m I’m like, “Oh crap, it’s my turn. I got to do Gramps.” So I
6:12I hit Gramps and we hang him up. You hit You hit Gramps, man.
6:18I I I hammered Gramps and then I hang him up. Oh, and I went to go I went to go cut
6:24his throat to like bleed him out and he woke up and he was alive and he he squealled off.
6:30He was like squealing and and I just ran away and I went and hid in like the corner somewhere and Rex, our youngest
6:35brother, was like probably only like nine at the time. He’s like, “Oh my gosh, like give me that.” And then Rex had to go like finish it off. He’s the
Dishonesty
6:42only one with So, so then later on, like later that like week, we’re sitting there. It’s Mother’s Day. We’re in the
6:48backyard of grandma’s. Like, there’s this nice spread. Dad’s like bringing the meat out and we’re eating we’re eat
6:55we’re eating dinner and none of us, all three of us are kind of sitting at a table. No, we’re not eating it. We’re sitting at the table like uh we’re
7:00not taking a bite of anything. We’re just kind of sitting there pushing food around our plates and our mom’s like,
7:06″Oh, that was so nice of you guys.” She thinks it’s chicken. She’s that was so nice of you guys. And all of a sudden she looks at all of our faces and then
7:12it starts to dawn on her and she’s like, “Mike, what did you do?
7:20Oh my gosh. Oh. Oh yeah. Um
7:27golly. Okay, let’s move on from that one.” Hey. Okay.
7:35All right. So, um, this one we’re going to stick we’re going to stick with grandma’s house for this one.
7:41Tell me the first thing you think of when you hear Pritchette.
7:49I think of a head of lettuce flying across.
7:56Oh my gosh. I can’t believe we did that. Oh my god.
8:02That was a beautiful garden. It’s probably the best one I’ve ever seen.
8:08Poor Pritchette, man. Oh man. So, where do we begin with this one?
8:16Whose idea was that? We We spent uh I don’t know. I I always like blaming it on our cousin Bigs
8:21because he always took the fall for everything. It was Big’s fault, but I’m sure it was his fault. Big’s fault. Um but yeah, we uh we don’t we spend a
8:28lot of time our cousin Bigs. They’re
8:34like such rednecks. Oh, we we spent a lot of time down at grandma’s house. Like that’s part of the
8:41upbringing that I think was really awesome for us is we we spent tons of time at grandma’s in a loving place. She
8:48cared about us and then she’d always call if we were there, she’d call the other cousins and say, “Hey, come over. Your cousins are here.” We’d all play
8:53together. So, we grew up almost like in this massive family where our cousins felt like our siblings.
8:59And we go go down to grandma’s house. Well, grandma had a neighbor, last name is Pritchette. And the poor Pritchetts,
9:05I mean, they just always had like, you know, 12 kids running around in the neighborhood.
9:11Yeah. 12 random kids. 12 random kids running all over the neighborhood. Well, one day, I don’t know how we figured this out, but we
9:17fault. It’s got to be his fault. But we uh we jumped the fence of grandma’s
9:24backyard and we ended up in the Pritchett’s backyard and and Pritchette had like this nice beautiful garden. It
9:31was right towards the end of the summer and I think it started with just like maybe something small like an like a
9:37little green tomato or something got picked and thrown and five minutes later there was like head fullg
9:44full-fledged like heads of cabbage being flung everywhere. There was like tomatoes being splattered on people’s
9:49faces. Like it was a fun food fight. It was a fun
9:55food fight. And then all of a sudden it all kind of came to roost. I think I think he came out in the backyard and saw it happen
10:01and was like what what is and then we kind of like it was like one of those moments of like stopping
10:06and be like what are we doing? There’s like zucchini flying across the yard.
10:16Yeah man. Speaking of I gota with this story I gota So speaking of bigs and throwing
10:23vegetables don’t you
10:29we play this game called butts up and and we’re playing with bigs. Butts up is
10:34like a game where you throw the ball against the wall and then if you catch it then you throw it again. But if you drop it then you have to run and touch
10:39the wall before somebody else picks it up and hits the wall. And if they beat you, then you have to go up to the wall
10:44and and everyone gets to throw the ball like at you and and you try to hit their butt and lose a point with the ball. So, but of
10:51course, you know, we can’t do it the normal way. And you got to go we, you know, when someone goes up to the wall,
10:57they have to go complete bare butt commando. They pull their pants out bare
11:02butt. And so Bigs gets he gets caught. He goes up, pulls his pants down bare
11:08butt. It was the fall time and Tyler picks up
11:13the most rotten p hair pear I’ve ever seen from the pear tree. Just rot
11:21juicy. You were probably like 20 yards away.
11:28Perfect strike. I mean, it it kissed his butthole just like like right in the
11:35middle. Oh man,
11:41big. We just lost it.
11:47Oh my gosh. Oh dear. The skin I swear the skin of the pair
11:54like stayed up there. Oh. Oh man. Brandon,
12:00nice strike. Nice strike. I always wanted to try pitching, but I never quite
12:06You should. If it was throwing pairs, man, you would have been in the majors.
12:14Oh, Brandon, this is bigs. This has gone off the rails way too fast, man. Yeah. Oh, we could tell stories all day
12:21long just about Bigs. Oh, dude. He’s Yeah, he’s he’s a He is a legend. He is a true legend.
12:26He is a true He is a legend. Yeah. Yeah. Um, go. No, I got So, I got
12:33one. It’s a really fast one. It’s a little more serious, you know? It’s like soft and tender. Are you ready?
12:39Okay. So, so it was my first scout camp, right? I
12:45think I was like barely 14 years old. I might have been 13. And we go up to Tom to Tomahawk.
12:50Oh, yeah. I remember Tommahawk. Yeah. And that’s where like the first
12:55thing we do at tomahawk is is we see the river and there’s like a mud muddy pit and we jump in and make a mud bath. And
13:02we were walking around camp completely covered in mud like just and our scout
13:08leader is looking at us like well boys will be boys you know.
13:15Um, and one other kid is just chopping trees down with an axe, just like one after
Empathy
13:22another. I think he chopped down like 30 trees. I know. You know, with like all the dead trees. But do you know why he did that? You
13:28remember what happened? To get out his aggression. Yeah. Yeah. It was a way to He was getting bullied and he’d go down there and take
13:35a tree down. It was probably a good thing. Well, what ended up happening there is uh some of the boys had brought
13:41like like a thing of like hot chocolate and it was like disappearing. All the
13:46hot chocolate was disappearing. So, they put out a sting operation and they figured out that it was this boy who was chopping down the trees. He was
13:53siphoning off, sneaking all the hot chocolate, the Swiss miss or whatever. So, yeah. So, they went and actually took all the chocolate mix out and put
14:01dirt in there instead. And then they they watched him kind of like sneak up and make a cup and start chugging it
14:07down. And then they of course they started laughing laughing and he didn’t even know he didn’t even know it was dirt. He was just chugging
14:12it down, you know, like and but then he thought he was just being laughed at. And so he went down and started chopping
14:18down 10 trees like boom gone. Good for him.
14:23Anyways, this this all wasn’t the story I was going to tell. Like first day, you
14:28know, we’re supposed to pack sack lunches and we we we each have our sack lunch and we pull out our, you know, we
14:36always had like the the really cheap lunch meat. It was like the budding meat. Yeah.
14:42Yeah. And uh there’s a little note in there from mom and and you pull the note out and the note says like, “I love you.
14:49Have fun.” or something and you turn to me with legit tears in your eyes like
14:55and and and you say, “I miss them already.”
15:02I did. [Laughter] I loved those notes that mom used to put
15:08in our at scout camp for like five minutes. I miss him already.
15:16Hey, that was one of the highlights of those lunches is mom always had like just a like a little note in there that
15:22she’d throw in and just like it always felt good to be supported that way.
15:29Leave it leave it to me to have the tender heart, right? Yeah, you had the tender heart, you know. Always did.
15:35Some things never change. I mean, on one hand, you’re throwing a pair at Big’s butt. On the next, you’re,
15:42you know, tender-hearted soul. little tender heart. You’re throwing it. You’re throwing a
15:47like what’s what’s that thing called? The kurabi. You’re you’re Oh yeah, the korabi.
15:53You’re throwing the korabi at my head and then you know you know sad and then you’re hitting gramps with a hammer.
16:00Oh man. Yeah. The ups and downs. The ups and downs of life.
16:05Childhood. Yeah. Call. Yeah. Uh um anyways, do you got one?
16:12Yeah. This one is uh I don’t know if you remember this or not, but uh you this
16:17isn’t the story, but do you remember when you had that big get together from like all the kids from the neighborhood
16:23and they’re like, “Hey, let’s go around and tell a story from our childhood and everyone shared a story and by the end
16:28of it, every single kid from the neighborhood, all they were doing was talking about like the thing that the Patrick boys did to them when they when
16:36they were like, I know.” So, so that’s like uh you remember uh another another shout out to
16:43one of our really good friends, Stewie. You know who you are, Stewie. I love Stewie. Um his
16:48another legend by the way. He’s a legend. His his I mean I mean I catch more fish than
16:53him, but Yeah, you do. Uh his dad had like a
16:59design company and like did all sorts of stuff like decorations. So every year like at Christmas time
17:05Oh no, I know where this is going. They they would have like the full spread on like the lights and out front there’d
17:11always be like the you know those like metal framed deer that have lights on them that are like feeding or whatever
17:16like makes it look all beautiful. We we figured out that that the buck fit
17:24perfectly over the dough and so like so like every night for like
17:30a week. It wasn’t just once. No, it was like we would go do it again. It was like every night for like a week,
17:36we’d wait till we knew nobody was watching and then we’d go and we’d like put them in that position. And uh and
17:42finally we started getting like phone calls from like the parents were like, “Hey guys, is this you?” Like what do you do? Enough.
17:49Knock it off. Our parents come to us like, “Hey guys, like everyone kind of knows us.
17:54Everyone knows it’s you guys. Would you just like stop please?” We thought it was so funny.
18:03Oh man. Oh man, you’re making my gut hurt, man. Yeah, Stewie. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways,
18:12that was that was a good one. Um I was thinking, you know, I don’t know how
18:18much we want to get into this, but we had a few like brother fights.
18:25Oh man. you know, and there was one in particular, and we can
18:31laugh about these things now, um, but uh, you know, Tyler was going through
18:36some hard times. And it was a Sunday morning, and um, there was some stuff on
18:45the floor and my mom came down and was like, “Hey, pick that up.” You know, like whatever. And she she turns around,
18:51she walks out and Tyler gives her the bird. Oh, yeah. Behind her back. Behind her back. I’m like the I’m like the golden
18:56boy, the one who doesn’t make any waves or make any problems. So, I wait till she turns her back and then I like
19:01Tyler was going through a hard time in life. This is not normal Tyler. Um but and I didn’t know Tyler was going
19:08through such hard times. And and so when I was sitting there and he flipped her off, I just was like, “What
19:14did you just do?” And so I grabbed him. We started fighting.
19:19So I grabbed him and I got him in the headlock and he’s in the headlock trying to get out and my other little brother
19:25comes up and just starts uppercutting him just just punching him. It was it’s
19:31like it’s like watching Seven Brides for Seven Brothers when they’re like doing the house raising. So we’re trying to take Tyler down.
19:37Tyler was by far the most athletic of the three of us. So it’s not it’s not easy. You know, if I can get him in a
19:43headlock and Rex is helping me like and and so my mom hears us fighting. She she
19:48comes down. She’s like, “Stop. What are you doing?” You know. So, we stop and re right when we stop, Rex is walking off
19:56and and Tyler like coldcocks him from behind like completely like right in the
20:02eye like bam. Anyways, we we had to go to church. It
20:09was like 15 minutes later. Oh, yeah. We That was like Sunday morning getting ready for church.
20:14Yeah. And Rex had this like swollen eyes. We were s we were sitting right there at church. You know how people
20:20like show up on the front row and they all look like so perfect? Like we showed up at church. Rex has a shiner. I think
20:25I had a shiner, a bloody nose or something. Like we’re just like sitting in church. People I’m sure are like what
20:32the heck. What? Look at the Patrick is going on at the place. Talk about dysfunction.
Victim mindset
20:40Yeah, that was a funny one. I remember the fight where somehow you and Rex got in a
20:46fight and you were on You ended up on the tram. I tried to get away from him. I tried to get away from him. I didn’t want to
20:52fight him. So he Rex is not stopping. He’s like wants to fight Tyler. And Tyler’s got
20:59long arms and he’s swinging and he’s just like clocking him. I was just jabbing him. I was just
21:04keeping him at a distance, you know. And Tyler starts crying like, “I don’t want to fight you.” and he’s punching
21:10him in the face cuz he wouldn’t back off. As the third brother, I was loving it. I
21:15was just laughing like, “Oh, this is great.”
21:21I went for refuge on the trampoline thinking I could just keep did bouncing so there couldn’t be any like
21:26confrontation, but instead it just turned into like kept clocking him. I just It was I was just keeping a distance that’s all.
21:32Yeah. By punching him in the face. I don’t want to hurt you.
21:41That’s Well, that’s the thing about Rex is Rex Rex has always had tenacity. Oh, he won’t quit.
21:47Yeah, he’ll never he’ll never quit. Oh. Oh, enough fight stories. We should tell
21:54some stories about, you know, how we loved each other.
22:00We actually did. Oh, we absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I think that, you know,
22:06you’ve heard that quote before. You know, a friend is a friend for a mile or two, but a brother is born for adversity. And I I felt that from I felt
22:14that from both you and Rex all the way through growing up, even to this very day, that uh there were times, you know,
22:22we we’d get into scraps. I don’t know if you remember going to like this was a little bit later, but we went to Las
22:27Vegas and uh had a little bit of an altercation in the parking lot there
22:32and which the in-laws are like whoa. It was like we all had each other’s back instantly like boom and and our in-laws
22:40are like whoa don’t mess with the Patrick’s like you know yeah there’s
22:45definitely that kind of uh I think and I think going through some of the things that we ended up experiencing you know I
22:52remember I think one time almost trying to egg you into a fight with another kid so that I could jump in and support you
23:04Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We I wasn’t a very good fighter. You think I would be considering how
23:10much we did fight. I don’t think any of us were. Yeah. Rex is Rex’s pretty tough. He’s
23:17um I got another Do you got another story? Go ahead. Go ahead. No, no, it’s your turn.
23:23No, you’re good. Well, this one’s not I mean, this is just kind of about our family. It’s a
23:28random story. Um, so we I was laying around in Hawaii and
23:34and uh it was between my you were grad school, my grad school. So it was between my two years of grad school and my uh my wife
23:42was working full-time and I was laying around feeling guilty like what am I doing all summer because I had a
23:48semester off like I got to be productive. I got to do something. So naturally I was watching daytime television
23:55which which daytime television the instant you’re doing that you know it’s time for a change. Yeah. So uh back then family feud was on
24:05in the middle of the day and at the very end it was like if you want to be a contestant you know call this number or
24:10whatever. So I was like okay. So we had flight benefits and I thought well the
24:15whole family can fly down. So we we go to this audition
24:21and like you flew the whole family flew to uh California for an audition, right? Flew to California, flew to LA and they
24:30like we’re not performers. We’re not like so like mom and dad are kind of
24:35uncomfortable, you know? We’re not like high energy pe people like because there’s people like in their military
24:42uniforms like loud like Yeah. Woo. Yeah. you know, trying to get on the show and
24:48we’re just feeling a little uncomfortable and out of place and uh and so like two weeks later they call me
24:55and they’re like, “Hey, you got on.” Like, “Hey, you’re on the show.” Really? Like, what? Um and so I called
25:03um I called everybody. You opted out. And we go there and we
25:10actually have a blast. So we we win five games, five episodes
25:15um and just have a blast. It was a really fun experience. And but one of
25:21the questions we got was about Britney Spears. Oh man. And
25:27so it was like what did Britney Spears lose in the last year or something? It’s when everything was kind of going
25:33crazy there. Yeah. Yeah. With her. And and so like we’re just like taking the questions
25:38that are given to us. We’re not, you know, I I don’t want to be mean to Britney Spears or whatever, but it’s
25:44like when we start answering the question. Um, anyways,
25:51this was like I don’t know how long ago we were on it was like 15 years ago that
25:56we were on Family Feud. And just like a couple years ago, Hulu comes out with a
26:02documentary about how Britney got bullied. And what do they put up on that
26:08documentary? Dad’s answer. Yeah. Our family answering questions
26:13about Britney. You guys made the documentary. We made the documentary. And so
26:20bullying her. Next thing you know, our parents are getting hate phone calls to their to
26:25their home from Britney fans that are like threatening them. That’s like two decades ago. Yeah,
26:35that’s our 15 minutes of fame is that you know you were rude to Britney Spears and like Yeah.
26:40Well, and you guys did win the fast money twice, right? We won. Oh, yeah. Well, we should have won it like more,
26:46but we had a couple bad like one answer of mine was like, name a material that
26:52they make underwear out of. They make women’s underwear out of. Yeah. Yeah. Yours was horrible.
26:57Well, I first said silk. Yeah. Yeah. And then that’s already been taken.
27:03So naturally I went with polyester. [Laughter]
27:10Yeah. Well, you could tell like our background where we come from when with Rex they ask him
27:18n name a reason you dig a hole
27:23to put in a sprinkler system. To put in a sprinkling system.
27:29Like it could be like bury something, you know, like like a a well, a funeral, a well. Uh
27:39put in a sprinkler system.
27:44We did plenty of that in our day. Yeah. Or or Lindsay’s famous answer, you know, name a famous Kelly.
27:50Name a famous Kelly. Like Kelly Ripa, Kelly, whatever. Yeah. Smelly Kelly.
27:55He’s like smelly Kelly. Like what?
Next steps
28:01smelly. How did you guys win? Uh, we had the worst answers and we won five. We’re We’re undefeated. We’re I
28:07challenge any other Family Feud champion family. We will win. We will I challenge
28:14you. Let’s get on Family Feud. We will win.
28:20Yeah, that’s funny. Yeah, it’s that that’s a great one too, Brandon, because you can go back and like watch those over and over again in the archives like
28:28Yeah. kind of I think you can find us on YouTube somewhere. Yeah, I think they’re still out there
28:33somewhere. It’s kind of It’s kind of funny just to see the family too and like how much the family has like
28:38changed over the last couple of decades, too. I know. It’s crazy. Some snapshots there. It’s way way
28:44different now. Yeah. So, that was funny, though.
28:50Oh, you have any others? Have you run out? I’m The problem with our family is that
28:56there’s it’s really never ending. So,
29:02but I’m but my stomach hurts enough that I’m probably like good for the day now. But, uh I did have I did have one more.
29:10I think this one may have already made an episode maybe years ago,
29:15but you remember uh our next door neighbors the other way or the Bamfords.
29:22Oh, of course. Yeah. You remember Bamps? Love Bamford. Love Bamps.
29:28All of them. Do you remember the day he was our front yard? He was hiding behind the big tree out in
29:35the in the parking strip. He was like his back was up against it.
29:40I know what you’re I know the one you’re telling and we’ve told this on this before, but we maybe we have. But do you remember
29:45like we were like watching we’re like like what are you doing? Bamford had a natural inkling to just
29:51like be a little bit distracted. He’s just kind of like to wreak havoc. Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, just a little bit.
29:56He’s just the man. He’s just hiding behind this tree and he’s like in plain sight. He’s really in plain sight, but he thinks he’s like
30:02hidden up against a tree. And a car go car goes driving by and all of a sudden he just like w he like throws a hot dog
30:11and it goes raw a raw it’s like a raw hot dog straight through the window of this. They had their window down as they
30:18were driving by just like boom. This hot dog goes straight in there. It’s like you and the pair. It was like perfect
30:24aim. A moving car right in the window.
30:32and he just takes off running. Yeah. Just just for the fun of it. If you
30:38could pitch hot dogs in the major leagues, Bamford would be there. It was a perfect shot. And what’s funny
30:46about it is next thing we know the cops show up. Like the guy called the cops
30:52because he got a hot dog. He had a hot dog going through his car window. It probably hit him in the face. Pro. It
31:00probably did. Oh my gosh. Bamford. Bamford’s a legend,
31:06too. He’s a legend. Bigs, Bamford, and Stewie. All legends.
31:12Oh, man. We were We were lucky to grow up in the neighborhood. We We did randomly.
31:18Oh, shout out to Bert, Freeze, to the whole Fillmore crew. Alto all all the everyone
31:23everyone you know you know everyone on down from the hales to the you know I the lingans you know
31:32don’t even want to get you started on oh I got stories about Winston man great
31:39I love him I love him I need to call him I need to catch up with him so
31:45great people Tyler we were surrounded by just amazing humans I wish that we didn’t torment
31:52them so much. I know we uh we were raised by basically like six or seven sets of parents really
31:58the way that the way that it was back then. And um yeah, we were we grew up in a really
32:03fortunate place with the with all of those kids there ages. Yeah. It’s like a
32:09big massive family. It it’s it was crazy. Yeah. Um but it
32:14was fun. So anyways, I hope this was fun for people. It was for me, Brandon.
32:21Yeah, thank you. It’s kind of funny how, you know, there’s, you know, the Reader’s Digest always had laughter is
32:27the best medicine. Remember Grandpa Harris got his jokes published there a couple times.
32:33We should do a full episode on him. Yeah, we could for sure. But, uh, but truly like I came in to work today,
32:40Brandon, just feeling pretty heavy and weighed down and I think just kind of carrying the load of a lot of things.
32:46And laughter is the best medicine, man. like thank you. It was a good idea for
32:51me today therapeutically. It was a good idea on your part. I’m not sure it was a great idea for our listeners to have to listen to all of that.
32:58Um but uh but but but now they get to know a little bit more about us, too. So
33:04um absolutely. Whether they like it or not, I guess. Yeah, absolutely. And I I just just I I
33:10want to reiterate that like you guys go through a lot of hard things and um
33:15relationships are tough. betrayal is really hard. Um, and you got to find
33:20some laughter somewhere. Um, so hopefully you found a little bit today. We’re not that funny, but some of the
33:27stories can be. They are to us. Yeah. Um, all right you guys, if this was
33:33helpful, then uh give us a like on YouTube. That’d be awesome. Um, or uh
33:38share this episode. And till next time, keep on keeping on.
33:52Just a
